SIDEN is a water treatment organization for a community of towns in the North of Luxembourg. Their treatment station of Bleesbruck is a modern facility that serves as a primary point of contact for the population. In order to secure the maintenance employees, Fallprotec offered all-around height safety solutions.
Fallprotec was contacted in late 2022 by one of our trusted installers who searched for a rigid lifeline to secure a truck maintenance area. Thanks to their precise measurements and instructions, our estimation team proposed custom outrigger beams combined with the SafeAccess rail.
In order to create a system as close as possible to the real site conditions, our engineers recreated the environment in a 3D model and designed a custom-sized rotating davit system equipped with a SafeAccess monorail. This allowed for virtual testing of the solution and tackling issues before they had a chance to appear in real life. Our expert team kept in constant communication with our certified installer during the entire process, so that they could present a tailored solution to our end client.
Once the approval of the customer was received, the fabrication process started, and the installation was planned. Parallel to this, a full set of documentation relative to the project was written, from installer and user manual to declarations of conformity and a nameplate with a QR code. These documents are now in possession of Siden Bleesbruck and the installer, so that they may be of use for any new person having to use the equipment. A certified team equipped with the suitable lifting equipment took care of the mounting.
A third party inspector, inspected the system in order to validate its use for people working at height. Finally the installer trained the end users on the specificity of the equipment to ensure a seamless operation.
After completing a year of use, the installer received a notification to inspect the installation and ensure another year of safety at height at the Siden Bleesbruck facility.
